Drogba injured in Chelsea 3-1 win over Norwich

Chelsea beat 10-man Norwich 3-1 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday but the victory came at a cost as Didier Drogba was stretchered off with what appeared to be a serious injury.
Chelsea striker Didier Drogba was knocked unconscious during Saturday’s 3-1 win over Norwich City but is showing progressive signs of recovery, coach Andre Villas-Boas said. The Ivorian was was accidentally punched as Norwich goalkeeper John Ruddy came out to meet the ball. He did not move initially as medics attended to him but he then started to flex his arms before being stretchered off.

Juan Mata scored on his debut for the Blues as the Londoners joined Wolverhampton Wanderers at the top of the Premier League on Saturday. Jose Bosingwa gave Chelsea a superb start with a rare goal from 22 metres. Norwich equalised when stand-in goalkeeper Hilario bungled a cross and Grant Holt hooked into an empty net midway through the second half.
The next opportunity was Chelsea's and when Ruddy brought Ramires down in the box to concede a penalty the goalkeeper was also shown a red card to become the second Norwich player in as many Premier League matches to be sent off.

Lampard despatched the penalty past substitute goalkeeper Declan Rudd and, after 11 minutes of added time, the points were Chelsea's when Mata took advantage of a loose ball in the Norwich box and slotted in the third.
